I started working for Visit Mankato in fall 2007 and five years later I received my Certificate as a Destination Management Executive (CDME). In 2015 I was appointed by Governor Dayton to serve as the Southern MN Tourism Representative on the Explore Minnesota Tourism Council. What I enjoy most about working for Visit Mankato is developing “tourism products” that are legacy pieces for the organization. I consider the Mankato Marathon one of my babies. In addition, I have worked with incredible volunteers to add bike parking and trail signs in an effort to improve one of Mankato’s greatest tourism assets… our biking/hiking trails.

My free time is reserved for my two young boys and husband. I love watching movies – it is especially fun to watch my children enjoy the same movies I watched as a kid. The Mankato Marathon has inspired me to get fit, which is a good thing because I am a huge foodie. I love a good meal at Mankato’s many unique restaurants. I enjoy burning off those calories running with my boys beside me on their bikes or bringing them to the wonderful parks we have.

Anna’s Favorite Mankato Find…..

“My favorite thing to do is visit Sibley Park with my kids.
There is so much to do there with the playgrounds, petting zoo, trails and river.”
