Marketing and Communications Director 507.385.6666

Hi there! I am the Marketing and Communications Director with Visit Mankato. I  grew up around the Mankato area and graduated from Maple River High School. I left for college for a few years but then came back and graduated from MSU, Mankato with a degree in business administration and marketing. I have spent the past 19 years working for various Taylor Corporation companies, which led me to the Twin Cities for a seven-year period as well. I have moved around a few times, but I am proud to be able to now call Mankato home!  My recent passion has been in volunteering and working with the community on various fundraising events. Most recently I have been involved with Wired to the Heart and was the co-chair for the 2015 MACS Nite event for Loyola Catholic School. This year I am co-chairing a brand new event taking place in August. It was through this work that I found a desire for a career that allowed me to be more engaged with the community. I am very excited to be apart of the Visit Mankato team and to utilize my background and talents to help spread the word about Mankato as a tourism destination.

In my spare time, you can find me on the soccer field, at the swimming pool, in the hockey rink or at variety of other locations with my two boys. My oldest, Logan, is 13 and my youngest, Chase, is 9. They keep my life incredibly busy, but I enjoy all the time we get to spend together. I also enjoy keeping active myself and doing what I can to stay healthy.

Carrie’s Favorite Mankato Find…..

“I really enjoy visiting Minneopa Falls. The scenery is beautiful and a great afternoon can be spent having a picnic and hiking through the falls area. I remember going there with my late husband when we first met and it’s one of the first places I took my boys when they were little when we moved back to Mankato.”
