There’s always fun to be had when the Minnesota Vikings come to Mankato for training camp each summer, and there’s no reason this summer’s camp will be any exception. In fact, since it’s the 50th Anniversary of the Vikings Training Camp in Mankato, there are even more exciting events and must-do’s.
- Enjoy the festivities of the Vikings Village
- Attend the practices and scrimmages at Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Blakeslee Field
- Get autographs signed by Vikings players
- Enjoy activities for youth in the Kids Zone

2015 Vikings Training Camp Events Not to Miss:
Friday, July 17 – A Mankato MoonDogs game will kick off the Vikings celebration. There will be plenty of alumni interaction from throwing out the first pitch to autograph signings.
Saturday, July 18, 10am-4pm: Blue Earth County Historical Society Vikings Memorabilia Public Exhibit Grand Opening: The “50 Years of Vikings Training Camp in Mankato” historical memorabilia display will be revealed at the Historical Society. Come for history, food, prizes and much more! The Vikings exhibit will be on display at the Blue Earth County Historical Society until September 4.
Saturday, July 25, 10 am – 3 pm: Welcome the Vikings to Mankato Event
The Minnesota Vikings will arrive in Mankato on July 25 for the 50th year of Vikings Training Camp. The event will be located at the Minnesota State University, Mankato campus, on the Student Union West Lawn, next to parking lot 11A. Show up in your purple and gold to sport your Vikings Spirit. Enjoy food from Pub 500, music and games from Radio Mankato, a purple dipped ice cream cone and receive Vikings give-a-ways! Vikings Village games and activities available for the kiddos; bring the whole family for a Vikings-packed, fun, family day!
Friday, July 31 – A Taste of Mankato event will be held in the Mankato City Center. Alumni will be serving up great meals to fans and proceeds from the evening will be split between the Vikings Children’s Fund and a local charity.
Saturday, August 1 – Fan Night with practice under the lights, fireworks, alumni, a 50th Year Ceremony and a kick-off to Hall of Fame week.
Sunday, August 9 – Ribfest will be splashed in purple and gold with a special Vikings twist to this very popular musical event.
